Day 05
HUE CITY TOUR

At 8:00 in the morning our guide will pick you up at your hotel. We start this tour at the Khai Dinh Tomb. Compared to the preceding emperors, the Khai Dinh tomb is much smaller in area (117 meters by 48.5 meters), but it is also a much more elaborate tomb. It is the result of the mixture of many European and Asian architectural trends, as well as the mixture of the old with the modern.

From here we approach another of the most representative tombs of Vietnam, the Minh Mang tomb. Minh Mang's tomb is famous for its architecture, which fits harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. As in other tombs from this period, the general elements of the tomb architecture are: outer walls, triple gate (Tam Quan Gate), a place for the court to greet, stelae, temples, lakes, pavilions, gardens and the tomb itself.

Among the emperor's tombs in Hue, the Minh Mang Tomb is the most impressive and worth a visit. In 1993, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List along with other monumental complexes in Hue.

We continue to learn about the origins of the history of Vietnam through Hue by visiting Hue Citadel (Kinh thànhHu?), it is a great fortress built in the 19th century (year 1805) by order of Emperor Gia Long in the city of Hue, in the center of vietnam. This huge and magnificent monument has been designed by combining the concepts of Chinese geomancy (the best example is the Forbidden City in Beijing) and the military principles of the French architect Sebastien de Vauban. The resulting final set is precious palaces, beautiful temples fused between walls, bastions and moats, which coexist in total harmony.

Lunch at a local restaurant. We continue the tour with a tour that will take us to the Thien Mu Pagoda. The oldest pagoda in the city built in the year 1601 by Nguyen Hoang. The towers are in the front and the temples are in the back. You will end this day with a boat ride from the Thien Mu Pagoda area to the city of Hue, touring the Perfume River.

HUE – DANANG - CITY TOUR

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Hue. Pass through Lang Co beach and Hai Van pass that will give you one of the best views of the central area of Vietnam. Hai Van Pass was also very important as a lookout strongpoint during the Vietnam War years

On the way, we will visit Linh Ung Pagoda, built on an area of about 20 hectares on the side of a mountain, the pagoda is truly a magnificent work of art. Its overall shape resembles a sea-facing turtle, and its back rests against a large primeval forest on the Son Tra Peninsula. To go to the temple, we will drive along the road that surrounds the coastline of My Khe, one of the most beautiful beaches in Da Nang. Here you will also have time to take a dip if you wish.

From the foot of the Son Tra peninsula, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful city of Da Nang, a young and dynamic economic center in the central region or, in other direction, from My Khe beach, with an immense blue sea and white sands, which stretches along the road at the foot of the Son Tra peninsula

Day 07
HOIAN

Hoi An's architecture is unique in Vietnam, with its low houses and painted wooden facades. The points of interest in Hoi An are the following:

Japanese Bridge, which according to local legend is indestructible. The Museum of Ceramics, The amazing house ofTan Ky (it was the first monument declared of historical interest) and the Cantonese Temple. Of course, all the streets of Hoi An full of lanterns and small shops selling souvenirs, clothes and shoes.

Bathed by the Thu Bon River, Hoi An was an important fishing port during the 16th to 18th centuries. The old town remains intact, partly because during the war most of the attacks were concentrated on the neighboring city of Hue. Another reason why this place is well preserved is because current laws prohibit altering the buildings and even the movement of cars through its streets. We can say that it is one of the most charming towns in Vietnam, with an ancient and traditional flavor, the multitude of details and Chinese, Japanese and French influences, have earned it the recognition of a World Heritage Site. You can enjoy this wonderful place at your own pace. It is famous for its tailors and shoemakers, so you can take the opportunity to do some shopping.

Afternoon, you will escape the busy streets of Hoi An and spend a day with nature when you visit Cam Thanh Coconut Forest! Cam Thanh Village is considered as the green lung of Hoi An thanks to its large collection of coconut trees. The charming location is often compared to the famous Mekong delta, but here you’ll ride adorable basket boats instead of the usual three-plank wooden vessels.

After rowing through small channels and appreciating the verdant coconut trees, you’ll also watch a one-of-a-kind boat show care of the locals residing in the area! You will have a unique memento of your visit.
